Continued investment at John Tainton. The latest investment has been to upgrade one of the plate decoiling lines, by installing a new flying shear and upgrading the stacker system.
The £600,000.00 investment has been to convert the existing hydraulic shear into a flying shear. This will significantly increase production levels off this decoiling line.
It will also reduce the amount of strain on the leveller by not having to continuously accelerate and decelerate during the stop/start sequence. The installation and commissioning was carried out in December and took three weeks to complete.
