01. Is the material Western European?

Most of our material is manufactured in the UK or Western Europe. If you have any specific requirements regarding steel sourcing please contact your account manager.

02. Can the steel be supplied on pallets?

We can supply packs of steel on pallets, blocks or cross width timbers. The pallets we utilise are made in-house.

03. Is there a cost for delivery?

No, there are no extra charges for delivery.

04. Can John Tainton collect pallets back?

Yes, we can! Please contact your account manager to discuss your requirements.

05. Do you have your own processing equipment?

Yes, we have four de-coiling lines that can process material between 0.9-12.0mm.

06. What are the thickness tolerances?

We produce material with tolerances as per the relevant standards, however tighter tolerances are also available. Please discuss your request with your account manager.

07. What is the maximum and minimum length you can de-coil?

We can produce steel sheets or plates with lengths between 0.250 – 12mtr. We can also cut sheets and plates to customers’ requirements.

08. What quality ISO procedure / accreditations does John Tainton have?

We have accreditation to ISO9001: 2015 (Quality) and ISO45001: 2018 (H&S). Our certificates are available here.
